Best Documentary award
We are thrilled to congratulate Alula Pankhurst(Dr.),Tesfahun Haddis, and Ivo Streker(Prof.) on winning the Best Documentary award at the 19th Ethiopian International Film Festival for their film የተረገሙ ጦሮች (The Cursed Spears). Tesfahun Haddis is also the founder of Warka Film and Television Academy

He has produced various documentary films in roles including directing, cinematography, and editing. These films were made in Ethiopia, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom, and have been selected and screened at numerous film festivals across Africa, Europe, and beyond.

Hailachew Haddis
For over 7 years, he has been training others in videography and editing. He has directed, filmed, and edited more than 5 short films, including “Husien,” which was selected and screened at the Focus in Ability film festival in Australia.
